hah. you know what i don’t get? that bernie madoff was sentenced to 150 years in prison. why can’ t they just sentence him to life in prison? hah. i dont know. its funny, but rediculous at the same time!
Can you believe that Ruth Madoff is now claiming she too was a victim of her husband’s Ponzi scheme. She said she was also betrayed, and all the while living in the lap of luxury she had no idea what was going on. Yeah, right! Then why did you withdraw millions from the bank the day your husband was arrested?
It all started when I came out of college, I finally figured out I wanted to be a stock broker. Ever since I was born I just loved the market, and loved watching my father buy and sell stocks. I never really understood why I liked the market, I was just facinated by how it had such an impact on the economy. Well anyway to begin, I got out of college and started working for a brokerage company ( I dont want to mention the name), I started off great, making the money, having the big house, nice cars, beautiful wife, and everything a man could ever ask for. I was a risk taker, because my theory was you needed to take risks, in order to make it big. WELL ONE DAY CHANGED MY LIFE. I purchased GS on May 5, 2008 for approximately $197/share, I bought 7,600 shares, worth approximately 1.5 million dollars. The stock started to decline,
but I thought it would recover, but it never did, and me being the stubborn person I am, I didn’t sell it till it was about $100/ share and I lost about $750,000. The impact on my life has been horiffic. I had to cut back, my car was repossessed, Iam having trouble keeping up with my mortgage payment, and my wife is on the verge of leaving me. Tips for people out there, don’t be stubborn, and make sure you can afford the down fall.
